Keeping Cool
Pursuing the same goals and a Hank Green cameo.
Happy Thursday!
My colleague, Nick, publishes the wonderful newsletter Keep Cool. I have been very inspired by his work and rather than publish a diatribe today I will simply point you to his recent piece titled Negative Space. It is worth the read or skim as each paragraph contained nuggets - at least for me - of wisdom that can be applied in so many different ways.
Nick has historically written about climate venture capital and tech, but his commentary and general philosophy have always provided much more value and context and, as he writes, he will be shifting Keep Cool to focus more on the latter. I suspect you will see further collaboration between us as his thesis seems to parallel and intersect with mine for Sustain/Sustaining With Age, particularly an extension of the concept of sustainability beyond just “the environment.”
The only thing I will add is this video from the incomparable Hank Green on Instagram - yes, the Hank Green of Crash Course. It provides some interesting color to concepts of risk, safety, individualism, and community and is a quick watch.
Go forth and sustain yourselves and others,
Kyle
